THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD IN TODAY'S CLASSROOM

Applying the right process in STEM using interactive, engaging techniques.

10:30AM-12:30PM, FRIDAY 2 AUGUST 2019

ADELAIDE SHOWGROUND

COST: $25

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is receiving increasing emphasis in education throughout Australia and the world. But each aspect is different. Science is a body of knowledge and a way of thinking. Technology is science in action. Engineering combines science and technology to make and build things. Mathematics measures things and solves problems.

Dr Rob Morrison and Dr Deane Hutton from The Curiosity Show will explore the importance of the scientific process in the school curriculum and STEM, demonstrating these principles using the engaging techniques that they are famous for.

They will be joined by industry and education experts as we consider what we can do to keep young people excited by STEM.

This is a professional development session for teachers and includes a light lunch with an opportunity for networking.
