Hi everyone! I'm Jarli – an inventor with a knack for building things, especially things that fly! My pop has told me stories of the stars since I was tiny, and I’ve got a dream to be the first person to travel to other planets in our solar system.

Techspace Learning

A not-for-profit organisation on a mission to provide opportunities in robotics for people of all ages. Engage, explore and learn about  Arduino microprocessors, to create limitless projects for fun and practical uses. You'll find an all-inclusive environment, with mentors to assist and guide, and courses to suit all abilities. Displays are interactive, ever changing and fun; often staffed by many of the kids who created or were involved in building the items on display. From line following robots, Bottle Rocket Launchers, Deep Sea Sea-Perch, and a one-eyed cyclops who watches your every move, there is sure to be something to delight everyone in the family.

Marine Discovery Centre

The Marine Discovery Centre at Henley Beach is attending Science Alive! in 2021. Thinking of becoming a future Marine Scientist or an Ocean Warrior? Kids love the hands-on Marine Habitat exhibit, microscopes and Virtual Reality headsets featuring South Australian marine life. There is also a selection of local marine wildlife specimens, bones and shells on display.

South Australian Museum

South Australian Museum staff and scientists are on hand to help you learn what it’s like to work at the Museum. Come and explore the wonderful world of insects large and small with specimens from our collections to look at with lenses and microscopes. Australian Society for Microbiology

The Australian Society for Microbiology is a not-for-profit organisation, formed in 1959 as a learned society devoted to furthering the science of microbiology. If you stop by their stall you can build your own bacteria, see glow in the dark bacteria, play a biofilm fighter adventure game, and look at the world under a microscope!

Micro-X’s expertise in their proprietary cold cathode, carbon nanotube (CNT) emitter technology is demonstrated via a display module, demonstrating the reduction in size and weight of a CNT x-ray tube when compared to a conventional x-ray tube. Micro-X also have their second product, the Rover, on display, it’s a full performance, digital, mobile medical x-ray imager, and attendees are able to experience the easy maneuverability, flexibility and extreme mobility of the product.  Micro-X Engineers are also available to answer any STEM questions.

Dig A Dino

Ever wanted to dig up a dinosaur? Visit Dig-A-Dino at Science Alive! and dig up dinosaur bones and build them back up! Dig-A-Dino is a new take on a classic childhood toy, the wooden flat pack dinosaur skeleton puzzles. Giant, colourful puzzle pieces are buried within a ball bit, allowing kids to hunt for dinosaur bones and then piece their skeleton together like a palaeontologist, creating an interactive 3D puzzle play for all.
